Graphene

Definition

Graphene is a material formed from carbon atoms arranged in an hexagonal (honeycomb-like) structure; it is a 2-dimensional material only one atom thick (about 0.34 nm).

More about the materials

Graphene is a much thinner form of graphite; graphite is formed by sequential layers of graphene. High-quality graphene is strong, light, nearly transparent and an excellent conductor of heat and electricity.
